Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
RJ Games Division ("we," "us") operates this website and our games, including Ultimate Jam. This policy describes what information we handle, how we collect it, how we use and share it, and how long we keep it.
Information we collect
- Website: IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages requested — collected automatically when you load a page.
- Game settings and progress: Options you choose (player names, volume, controls, display settings) and basic progress stats (e.g. games played, wins), stored on your device and, on some platforms, synced through that platform's cloud save.
- Online play: Room codes, player-chosen display names, controller inputs, and match state (scores, positions, game events) exchanged between players during a session.
- Platform accounts: When you play through Steam or the Epic Games Store, we receive a platform user identifier and display name from that service so online features can work. We do not receive your account password.
- Contact: Name, email address, and message content when you email us.
We do not operate in-game advertising, sell personal data, or use third-party analytics trackers on this website or in our games.
How we collect information
- Automatically: Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) records standard HTTP request logs when you visit this site or download the web version of our games.
- On your device: The game writes settings and save data to browser storage (web), a local file (desktop), or platform-backed storage (Steam Cloud, Epic Player Data Storage) when you change options or finish a match.
- During online play: For web multiplayer, a public PeerJS signaling server helps two browsers find each other; once connected, gameplay data travels directly between the host and guest over an encrypted peer-to-peer link. On Steam and Epic builds, matchmaking and gameplay traffic use those platforms' networking services instead.
- From platform services: When you launch through Steam or sign in with Epic Online Services, those platforms provide your user ID and display name to the game through their SDKs.
- From you directly: You choose player names in the options menu and provide contact details when you email us.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Deliver and host this website and our games.
- Remember your settings and save progress between sessions.
- Enable online multiplayer, including room creation, matchmaking, and synchronizing game state between players.
- Unlock platform features such as achievements on supported storefronts.
- Diagnose crashes, connection issues, and bugs.
- Respond to support requests and other messages you send us.
- Protect our services from abuse and enforce our terms.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising or marketing profiles.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these situations:
- With other players during a match: Your chosen display name, character selection, and live gameplay data are sent to the other player(s) in your session so the match can run.
- Service providers that help us operate:
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and the web game. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- PeerJS public broker — used only for the initial WebRTC handshake in web multiplayer; gameplay payloads stay peer-to-peer and are not stored by us. PeerJS is an open-source project; the default broker is operated by the PeerJS community.
- Valve / Steam — identity, multiplayer, achievements, and cloud saves on the Steam build. Steam Privacy Policy
- Epic Games / Epic Online Services — identity, lobbies, peer-to-peer networking, and cloud saves on the Epic Games Store build. Epic Privacy Policy
- Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of RJ Games Division, our users, or others.
Each third-party provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies for details on their collection, use, and retention practices.
How long we retain information
- Website server logs: Retained by Cloudflare for a limited period (typically on the order of days to a few weeks) for security and operations, then automatically deleted or aggregated. We do not maintain a separate long-term log archive.
- Game saves on your device or platform cloud: Kept until you clear browser storage, delete the save file, uninstall the game, or remove cloud data through Steam or Epic account settings.
- Online session data: Match and signaling data exist only for the duration of a session. We do not operate game servers that store match history after a session ends.
- Platform account data: Governed by Steam's or Epic's retention policies while you use those services.
- Email correspondence: Kept as long as needed to respond to your request and for our legitimate business records (typically up to two years unless a longer period is required by law or an ongoing matter).
When retention is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymize the information we control, or ask our processors to do so where applicable.
Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Local data: Clear browser site data for our web game, delete save files on desktop, or manage cloud saves through your Steam or Epic account.
- Online play: Play offline or locally to avoid sharing session data with other players or platform matchmaking services.
- Platform accounts: Manage privacy and connected-app permissions in your Steam or Epic account settings.
- Contact us: Email gamesdivision@roccojuliano.com to ask what information we hold, request correction, or request deletion of data we control. Some platform-held data must be managed directly with Steam or Epic.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our site or games after an update means you accept the revised policy.
